Prior coursework in education is not required.

UC Irvine MAT Program

The UC Irvine MAT program is a rigorous, 15 month, academic program combining masters degree coursework with student teaching. UC Irvine's MAT program currently does not offer an online option. The goal is to provide future teachers with deep knowledge and mastery for planning, implementing and assessing effective teaching.
